As our Lenten visitor and Chairman of Caritas Cambodia, Monsignor Kike Figaredo was invited to several schools and community gatherings during his short stay in SA.
A group of enthusiastic students recently met with him during one of Adelaide's regular "Just Leadership" Days. He told them about his work in community development programs, particularly with the disabled in Cambodia - many of whom had suffered injuries from landmines.
Monsignor Kike's stories were particularly relevant to the theme of the day - "Blueprint for a better world" - with a focus on the highlighted stories in Project Compassion 2010 and a discussion about what is meant by "just", ethical leadership.

Hi Caritas people,
I have had one of the caritas speakers at our school to.
Me and my friend raised $51 from making lemonade and we put the money in project compassion.
I would love to have another speaker like "Kike Figaredo" at my school again.
Bye for now
Thanks Eliza for posting a comment! We are touched by your comment and your help to make this year's Project Compassion a success. We've definitely been blessed with some great speakers this year.
Take care
