The rains arrive

Today the rain came — finally. The humidity had been getting almost unbearable for those of us who don't normally live here. The rain bought pleasure for us in Apia but also made us worry about those on the other side of the island who have only tents and basic shelter. We want to assist them to build permanent shelter soon but we also need to give them the time and the space to decide where they want to live. In the meantime we try to look after their needs as best as we can.
