Busking for Compassion

Every year, we hear some great stories of the fun and inspiring ways that people find to raise funds for Project Compassion. A Sister of Mercy showcasing her acrobatic skills is certainly one of the more unique stories we have come across!

At the Bundaleer Busker's Day Out, part of the Bundaleer Forrest Music and Art festival held in Jamestown, South Australia, three talented performers shared their incredible talents to make a difference through Project Compassion.

Sr Elizabeth Young, a SA Sister of Mercy and acrobat, performed some amazing tricks alongside two young musicians - Quynh (11 years old) and May (7 years old) from Port Augusta. Whilst performing, the trio encouraged audiences to contribute to Caritas Australia's Project Compassion and raised $450 for the cause.
