Walk or run for a cause!
Caritas supporters and staff will band together in Sydney to take on the 14km City2Surf on Sunday August 8!
We’ll be raising funds for Caritas Australia’s long-term development projects by walking or running from Hyde Park to Bondi. Whether you’re a runner hoping to beat your running time or a laidback walker who likes to take in the scenery, we’d love you to join the Caritas Australia team challenge!
Did you know that the average distance walked to collect water in some parts of Africa is six kilometres? Many people carry an average of 20 kilograms of water over this distance just to meet their daily needs.
Help bring hope to communities by walking 14 kilometres for compassion in the City2Surf and spend a day in their shoes. By raising funds for Caritas Australia you will be supporting projects
that tackle the underlying causes of poverty and help people gain better access to water. Our projects empower people to help themselves out of poverty.
Fight Poverty, One Step at a Time
What your money can do – an example: Did you know that $10,500 could help bring clean drinking water to a community in Tanzania, Africa by purchasing a 10,000 gallon water tank? Join team Caritas Australia and encourage family, friends and workmates to join or sponsor you. With your help we hope to raise $10,500!
