Caritas partner, Red Dust Healing, to feature on 'The Message Stick' on ABC 1

For nearly 40 years, Caritas Australia has been working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and communities to overcome social inequality and poverty in our own nation. One program we currently support is Red Dust Healing, a unique cultural healing program written from an Indigenous perspective for the benefit of Indigenous men, women and families.

Based on ancient and traditional philosophies, Red Dust Healing encourages participants to understand and confront their own personal hurt, allowing them to heal from within and build better futures for themselves and their communities. To date, the program has helped over 660 people.

This Friday evening (27 May), the story of Red Dust Healing will be featured on the ABC 1 TV program 'The Message Stick' at 6:25pm. An encore screening will also be aired at 1:30pm on Sunday 26 June 2011.
