Monday Night - THE LAUNCH: On a night brass monkeys wont forget, forty brave souls ventured out to officially kickoff the Bunbury leg of the
Blueprint for a Better World Exhibition. The Bishop Most Rev. Gerald Holohan lead the speakers welcoming the exhibition to the Diocese. He focused on how the exhibition had arisen from World Youth Day last year and was now touring Australia - he also spoke a little about the Millennium Development Goals. Councillor Juliet Harrop, representing the Mayor(he is at a bun fight in Canberra) read a very appropriate piece from a book she had about the poor in Nepal. Then came the bright light from Sydney - Caritas Communications Officer Evan had the audience eating out of his hand, it was great to just sit back and listen to him, making everything he had to say relevant to the people of Bunbury. Those that attended were very impressed with the exhibition and its message! Unfortunately Ray forgot to take a few pics!
Tuesday: Well the good Lord has seen fit to bring us the much needed rain we require, so I guess the punters may stay home in the warmth of their houses. Anyway the Year 11's from BCC weren't put off, and another group is due this afternoon.
