St Francis Xavier, Goodna Caritas Project

St Francis Xavier, Goodna successfully raised $1760 for Project Compassion 2009. Here they tell us about their appeal.

Our Nanny-tas appeal was very successful. For each $50 raised a staff member donned the “goat hat” and acted the goat for a photo on assembly. We ended up with quite a good number of “kids”, displayed on a mural of a field in the library.

The completed school project for Lent was represented with a rainbow. For each colour there was a key symbol, Gospel Reading, project compassion feature story and colour. During assembly the class read and prayed the Gospel with us, told the story of the communities we helped raise money for each week, and explained the significance of their colour and symbolism on the rainbow.

I hope that the money raised brings a better life for a few people in need. Thankyou for the support given to schools with living our mission.
