Coin line at St Cuthbert's

St Cuthbert’s Catholic School began their Lenten Project Compassion fundraising with a very successful Pancake Tuesday, where approximately $400 was raised. Each class contributed to their large Project Compassion Box during Lent and on Tuesday in Holy Week a money line was organised which raised a total of $450. Each class took part and many classes used the activity as a hands-on maths lesson refreshing their measuring and money counting skills. The total length of coins was 100 metres. Thanks to Mrs Archer and the Grade 5’s who finalised the measuring and totalled the money.

On Holy Thursday Mr Pat O’Halloran was presented with a cheque from Pancake Tuesday profits as well as eight very full Project Compassion boxes. When all fundraising was counted, St Cuthbert's presented Caritas Australia with a grand total of $1,031.25!
